What to Expect at Your First Tattoo Consultation
If you've never done a tattoo consultation before, it's a lot more relaxed than it sounds. Mostly just a conversation to make sure the design, placement, and expectations all line up before anything's booked in.
What's usually discussed
Expect to go into more detail than you'd write in a booking form: what inspired the idea, any references you've got, roughly where on your body, roughly how big. It's also a good moment to raise pain tolerance, skin sensitivity, or timing around anything (a wedding, a holiday) where visible healing might matter.
Placement and sizing get real attention
A design that looks perfect on paper doesn't always sit right on skin. Curves, movement, how the area ages, all of it factors in. So don't be surprised if I suggest tweaking the size or exact placement slightly. It's about the piece looking good in ten years, not a sales tactic.
Deposit and next steps
Once we've agreed on the design direction, a deposit secures your slot and comes off your final price. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are laid out clearly on the legal page, so there's nothing to catch you out later.
Ready? Send an inquiry through the booking page. Or read the aftercare guide first if you want to know what happens after the session too.
